HERMES GUSTAVIA BUILDING

The façades of this building, which houses five shops and five apartments, are characterised by the prominent use of timber. The cantilevered galleries on the upper floor give the structure its distinctive colonial style. The vertical openings on the ground floor, fitted with traditional West Indian shutters, allow the shops to be secured during hurricanes.
